A total of 107 persons, including two policemen, have sustained injuries following the Mahara Prison unrest, stated Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today (01).
Further, he stated that 48 of the injured inmates have been subjected to PCR tests, out of which 26 inmates have tested positive for COVID-19.
The remaining inmates will be subjected to PCR tests and will receive treatment at the Ragama hospital, he said.
