1,281 persons were arrested yesterday (18) for failing to follow health protocols and quarantine regulations, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated.
Accordingly, 110 of the arrests were made in the Kuliyapitiya Division, 112 in Kandy Division and 136 in Matale Division.
This brings the total number of arrested persons to more than 39,592 suspects to date in connection with the offences relating to health protocols and quarantine regulations since October last year.
