Two more police officers have been taken into custody over the murder of two businessmen from Rathgama.
The police have said that a Sub-Inspector (SI) and Police Constable were arrested over the incident and have been remanded until March 13.
The two police officers attached to the Special Investigating Unit of Southern Province were arrested by the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday (05).
It has been over a month since the 2 businessmen, 33-year-old Manjula Asela, and 31-year-old Rasen Chinthaka of Rathna Udagama, Boosa were abducted by a group of persons in police uniforms who had arrived in a van and a car at around 10 a.m. on January 23.
