The government did not submit the 20th Amendment to the Constitution to the Ministerial Committee before submitting it to the Parliament, when it should have been discussed with Ministers of all parties beforehand, stated Samagi jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Lakshman Kiriella today (06).
“The Ministerial Committee consists of members of every political party, allowing the government to get a balanced view on the proposed 20th Amendment,” he further stated.
