The Board of Investment (BOI) yesterday (4) said that around 218 factories are currently being operated in the zones. BOI Media Director Dilip S. Samarasinghe told The Morning that around 218 factories have recommenced operations, while adhering to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health. As there’s a large scale of factories, BOI is adhering to the strict health measures to ensure the safety of workers, added Samarasinghe. By Agra Ranasinghe
