15 Sep 2021

Out of Sri Lanka’s 21,919,413 population, 10,672,627 citizens have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of today (15), data from the Vaccination Dashboard of the Presidential Secretariat confirms.  Accordingly, Sri Lanka has surpassed vaccinating 50% of its total population.  At the Cabinet media briefing held yesterday (14) Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said that it is fortunate that Sri Lanka is able to be among the very few countries on the world map as a country where more than 50 percent of the population has been vaccinated with the second dose. He also stated that most of these countries are G7 countries and four of them are vaccine-producing countries.
