519 SL students return, clearance for Wuhan students pending

519 Sri Lankan students have returned to Sri Lanka while 61 are expected to arrive in the Island this evening, The Foreign Ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry told The Sunday Morning that Sri Lanka hopes to repatriate another 284 students out of which 33 students are from Wuhan.

According to the Foreign Ministry, China is yet to give clearance for the repatriation of above 33 Sri Lankan students in Wuhan city.

The government is ready to send a special SriLnkan Airlines flight for this purpose.
