In the past 24 hours, 755 people have been arrested for violating quarantine laws.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that among them were 07 persons traveling in six three wheelers.
Meanwhile, a passenger bus traveling from Akkaraipattu to Colombo was also taken into custody last night (30).
There were 48 passengers on board, police said.
The suspects are due to be produced before the Ampara Magistrate's Court today (31), the police spokesman said.
