Subsequent to the intelligence test done by 110 police stations in the Western Province, the results of the criminal investigation and arrest of 73 wanted criminals was carried out today (7).
Out of these arrests, 76 criminal cases were solved. The Sri Lankan Police D. I. G. Office reported that there were 31 arrests for theft, 12 for serious injury, 12 for robberies, 7 for drug transportation, 4 for sex offences, 6 for assault and 1 for murder.
