78,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to arrive in July: Channa Jayasumana

A consignment of 78,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid vaccine is to be delivered to Sri Lanka in the first week of July, State Minister of Pharmaceuticals Prof Channa Jayasumana announced today (23). This is the first consignment of Pfizer vaccines that are to be delivered to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was the first South Asian country to approve Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use. State Minister Dr. Sudharshani Fernandopulle said in a statement the government would order 5 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
