Out of the 798 cases reported yesterday (08), 526 cases were reported from the Colombo district.
In addition, 97 cases were reported from the Gampaha district and 53 from the Kalutara district, according to the National Operations Center for the Prevention of Covid-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
One Sri Lankan who was repatriated to the island from abroad has also been identified as an infected person.
Meanwhile, the Minuwangoda - Peliyagoda Covid cluster has increased to 25,818 infected.
