Over 8000 chickens have perished following a fire which broke out at a poultry farm, Sri Lanka Police said. The current death toll stands at a minimum of 8,200 chickens. It is reported that the fire erupted at a poultry farm in Waragala, Kotadeniyawa. Investigations will be conducted to understand the cause of the fire.
