Of the 878 COVID-19 positive cases reported during the last 24 hours, there have been 402 cases from Colombo District, 188 from Gampaha District, 52 from Ratnapura District, 27 from Kandy District and 24 from Kurunegala, stated the breakdown released by the Department of Government Information.
The majority of the cases in Colombo District have been reported in Borella, with 108 cases, while 63 were reported from Colombo 12, 42 from Kollupitiya, 36 from Mattakkuliya and 29 from Bloemendhal.
In the Gampaha district, the most COVID patients have been reported from Kadawatha with 48 cases, followed by Negombo with 41 cases and Nittambuwa with 17 cases. Meanwhile, eight cases have been reported from Divulapitiya.
