A new Cricket Advisory Committee?

Harin with SLC officials, Mohan De Silva and Shammis Silva

It is reported on Thursday 18 July that Sports Minister Harin Fernando is likely to appoint a Cricket Advisory Committee, like what we find in India, headed by leading former players.

The intention of the appointment is reported to be managing cricket-related affairs of the country, including appointing a new coaching staff and a selection committee, following the country’s poor display in the recent ICC World Cup.
