A new minister and new secretary will be appointed to the newly established Ministry of Public Security, cabinet spokesman minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.
Addressing the weekly cabinet meeting today Rambukwella said President has decided to appoint a new minister and secretary for the newly established ministry.
Ministry of Public Security will be responsible for the police department, which was earlier under the State Ministry of Internal Security, Home Affairs and Disaster Management.
