2015 - Afghanistan make their World Cup debut in the 50-over, against Bangladesh in Canberra, Australia
2017 - ICC awards first-class status to Afghanistan’s four-day domestic competition
2017 - After nearly a decade of international cricket, ICC grants Afghanistan Full Membership or Test status on 22 June, alongside Ireland, making the number of Test cricket playing nations to 12
2018 - Afghanistan play inaugural Test, against India in India and lose by an innings and 262 runs
2018 - On 17 September, Afghans knockout Sri Lanka from the Asia Cup in Abu Dhabi
