The rejected consignment of Chinese organic fertiliser will not be allowed into the country by any means, according to the Minister of Ports and Shipping Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
He made this statement while speaking to the media yesterday (07).
"As the Minister of Ports and Shipping, I have done all within my powers to stop any fertiliser coming into our land through the Port. By no means will the rejected fertiliser enter the country," said Abeygunawardena.
He added that the relevant people have been informed not to accept and unload any fertiliser consignment into the Port.
