The number of active cases of the prison COVID-19 cluster has reduced to less than 300 as of today, the Prisons Department said.
Spokesperson Chandana Ekanayake said 284 inmates and eight officers were still under medical care.
So far 4,293 case have been reported from the cluster and 3,868 inmates and 123 officers who recovered have been discharged.
