Attorney General (AG) Dappula De Livera has informed the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to probe incidents of Political Victimization that the commission does not have the legal right to summon AG Department officials.
AG Dept. officials were issued summons to appear before the commission over a complaint lodged by Avant Garde Maritime Services Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi.
Senadhipathi alleged that his group of companies had incurred significant losses as a result of malicious and arbitrary action taken by former MPs of the Yahapalana government.
