Airforce officer killed in accident during parachute jump training

A 34-year-old Airforce officer fell to death while an airman was seriously injured during a parachute jump training in Ampara this morning, the Airforce Spokesperson said. The parachute training session was held at the SLAF Parachute Training School in Ampara. Airforce Spokesperson Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe said the two parachutes of the officer and the airman had entangled during landing. The injured airman has been admitted to the Ampara Hospital.
