Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardene today stated that all Sathosa outlets will be computerized with the newest technology within a month.
He stated in Parliament today that there have been several problems with the ledgers and the way that this could be solved was by using a computerized system to keep all items and stocks in check.
Minister Gunawardene was responding to a question by Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Buddhika Pathirana, who stated that while he was the acting Minister of State during the previous government, he too noticed irregularities in the stocks of Sathosa.
MP Pathirana also stated that the computerized system that was in place at the time was not functioning uniformly due to several parties attempting to meddle in the system to their own benefit.
