Deputy Leader of the UNP Ruwan Wijewardena stated today (23) that all who support freedom of expression and free speech must unite regardless of political affiliations.
Wijerwardena had visited SJB MP Harin Fernando at the Nawaloka hospital this morning and said this while addressing the media outside.
He raised concerns over the fact that if the police are trying to arrest a M.P. for making a statement in Parliament, then how will the citizens of the country speak out in opposition.
