Contrary to media reports there will not be any power cuts imposed in the month of February, Power and Energy Minister Mahinda Amaraweera told The Sunday Morning.
Amaraweera said that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation CPC will continue supplying fuel to the thermal power plants as the US -Iran tensions have ceased.
He said even if there is a hydro power shortage it could be compensated with the recent cabinet approved proposal to purchase 300 MW emergency power.
