The Association of Medical Specialists (AMS), at its Annual General Meeting held on 24th of April 2022, unanimously passed a resolution on the current economic crisis and social unrest faced by Sri Lankan citizens.
According to a statement by the AMS, the unanimously passed resolution urges both the current President and the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka to step down immediately following a due process and to appoint a
new interim administration to manage the current economic crisis faced by the Sri Lankan citizens.
The AMS notes that this resolution was based on many representations made by AMS members on immense hardships the citizens of Sri Lanka are facing currently.
