All inclusive education will be taken forward: PM

The all inclusive education system introduced under the present Government will be taken forward, Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasignhe said.

Wickremesinghe was speaking at the opening of 500 school buildings in Kahathuduwa today.

He said the Special Education Department formed in collaboration with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) to assist special needs children had been a huge success.

“I am proud to say that we are the only government that has allocated the highest budgets for the Education and Health sectors in comparison to previous regimes.”

“We opened 500 school buildings today; but in the past it took two to three years or so to open 200 school buildings. In three months time 950 school buildings have been opened under our government. “he said.
