Angoda Lokka's case | Indian Police search accomplice

Sri Lankan underworld don, Maddumage Lasantha Chandana Perera alias “Angoda Lokka” possessed a pistol during his stay in Coimbatore, stated the Tamil Nadu Crimes Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) Police, reported The Times of India. According to reports from India, Angoda Lokka died on 3 July due to cardiac arrest and following the post-mortem in Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), his body was taken to Madurai by Attorney-at-Law Sivakami Sundari, who posed as his relative, and Amani Dhanji from Colombo, who was Angoda Lokka’s flatmate in Coimbatore City. The Times of India reported the duo handed over the pistol to Angoda Lokka’s accomplice and the CB-CID is trying to trace the accomplice. In a press note issued on Saturday (15) night, the CB-CID said Attorney-at-Law Sundari and her friend Dhyaneswaran of Tirupur had forged documents and obtained an Aadhaar Card for Angoda Lokka under the name of Pradeep Singh, son of Rajkumar Singh. The Times of India said Angoda Lokka used this card as proof to government officials and to rent multiple houses. Angoda Lokka stayed in an apartment at Saravanampatti, Coimbatore City as Pradeep Singh since 2018 and moved to a rental house in Green Garden as Cheran Maa Nagar in February 2020 and Dhanji moved in with him in March 2020.
