This is in line with our policies,” Government Spokesman and Minister Keheliya Rambukwella told The Morning. He said that the graduates would be given jobs with immediate effect. In addition, he said that the Cabinet had also decided to make changes to the 19th Amendment. “The Cabinet approved the proposal to bring in the 20th Amendment and change the 19th Amendment.” Meanwhile, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa spoke with graduates who were protesting outside the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (19) while leaving the first Cabinet meeting. “We will give jobs to all the unemployed graduates. Just today, we approved another 10,000 jobs. You will all get jobs,” he assured.
