Another group from Ja-Ela directed to Oluvil quarantine facility

Another group of 32 persons from Ja-Ela has been directed to the Oluvil quarantine centre for having had contact with COVID-19 positive cases. This is the second group to have been sent to the quarantine centre after 6 individuals from Suduwella Ja-Ela tested positive for the virus. Earlier a group of 52 from Ja-Ela and Makewita was directed to the quarantine centre for having had close contact with the patients. The 6 persons who had contracted the virus were amoung a group of 28 who were tracked down and arrested by the navy on Thursday (9) for evading self-quarantine. The group was advised by the Ja-Ela Public Health Office to undergo self-quarantine at their homes as they had had direct contact with a COVID-19 patient. Following the arrest, the group was directed to the Oluvil quarantine camp.
