An Army Major General has been arrested by the Habarana Police for allegedly interfering with the duties of wildlife officers at the Minneriya National Park.
Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that he surrendered to the Habarana Police this morning (01) and was produced before the Kekirawa Magistrate's Court.
The Army Major General had been accused by wildlife officials of obstructing the duties of wildlife officers who were on duty at the Minneriya National Park on the 23rd.
Both parties have lodged complaints with the Habarana Police regarding the incident, said Ajith Rohana.
