An Army officer placed on duty at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has tested positive for Covid-19, Health Authorities said a short while ago. The Health Ministry said the soldier had been in close contact with a group of returnees from Kuwait who later tested positive for the virus. Army Spokesman Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe speaking to The Morning said the solider is a resident of Horana. He said necessary measures have been taken to self quarantine the soldier and his contacts.
