Accordingly, four main roadblocks have been removed in the North.
Yesterday, The Police Media Unit, said it had instructed the Army to remove roadblocks placed in the Palali and Palai Police divisions as it was "illegal to maintain roadblocks without the Election Commission's approval during a presidential election".
However, Army sources say that roadblocks were removed upon the instructions of the Amy Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva and not under the instructions of the Police.
