One of the major upsets of the week was Aston Villa’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at the Old Trafford. United struggled to find the target despite having few sparkling moments in the game. The decisive moment came two minutes before the final whistle when Kortney Hause headed in from a corner. United got the chance to earn a point when they were awarded a penalty during injury time, but Bruno Fernandes skied the ball over the crossbar. Man City vs. Chelsea The reigning champions Manchester City ruined Chelsea’s high goal-scoring form with 1-0 win over the Blues at Stamford Bridge. The decisive goal came through Gabriel Jesus in the 54th minute. It proved enough as the hosts struggled to get at least one shot at the goal. Brentford vs. Liverpool Brentford almost inflicted another upset against Liverpool. Hosting the Reds, the Bees took the lead twice with goals from Ethan Pinnock and Frank Onyeka. Liverpool equalised with goals from Diogo Jota and Mohommad Salah. The visitors took the lead for the first time when Curtis Jones found the back of the net from a deflected shot. The Bees fought and equalised through second-half replacement Yoane Wissa before the final whistle. Arsenal vs. Tottenham Hotspur Arsenal recorded a stunning 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in London derby. Goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Bukayo Saka, inside the first half, helped Arsenal put the game far away from their city rivals. Spurs tried to get back in the second half but they only found one goal, through Son Heung-Min.
