In alignment with the public statements issued by representatives from both the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP)-led National People’s Power (NPP) and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), both of the Parliamentary Opposition, President of the Law Students' Union Navod Rathnasekara has proposed to facilitate the debate between the two parties.
This forum will be designed to delve into the challenges faced by Sri Lanka and to scrutinise the economic policies proposed by each Party in response to these.
The letters of invitation have been handed over, addressing the officials of both parties, namely, the Leader of the SJB and the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, the General Secretary of the SJB and MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara, the JVP and NPP Leader and MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the NPP National Executive Committee Member Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
