The Department of Meteorology stated showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and Mannar, Galle and Matara districts today (16).

Fairly heavy showers of about 75 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
