The Election Commission (EC) said that it will call for the nominations to hold the Presidential Election within the specified timeframe in terms of the provisions of the Constitution and the Presidential Elections Act, No. 15 of 1981.
Issuing an announcement yesterday (9), the EC also said that by virtue of the powers vested in the EC to fix the date for the said Election, it will hold the Presidential Election between 17 September and 16 October of this year.
