The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the formulation of a national policy for accepting medical degree courses from internationally recognized universities in Sri Lanka.
Recommendations for amending the medical ordinance to meet contemporary requirements have also been endorsed.
With clearance from the Attorney General, a draft bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman will be published in the government gazette for public review before submission to Parliament for concurrence.
