The final rites of former Deputy Minister and UNP parliamentarian Palitha Thewarapperuma are scheduled to be held today (19).
The funeral procession will begin after religious ceremonies at his residence in Yatadolawatta, Mathugama, and he will be laid to rest at the gravesite he had prepared himself.
Thewarapperuma, the former Kalutara District MP, tragically passed away on 16 April at the age of 64.
