It will be Sri Lanka’s women’s Sevens rugby team, led by Dulani Pallekondage, who will take the field first in the Asia Rugby Sevens Championship today (19) in Dubai. The two-day Championship will end tomorrow, Saturday (20).
Both the male and female Sri Lanka teams, aka the Tuskers, had reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday (17) and they had undergone a light training session yesterday (18), with some swimming aerobics, to loosen up for the mega event.
The news from the camp now in Dubai is that the boys and girls are both pumped up and ready to kick off the tournament in style today.
