Six out of the 35 presidential candidates are yet to submit their assets and liabilities declarations, according to the Election Commission (EC).
Commissioner General of Elections Saman Sri Ratnayake told The Sunday Morning that all asset declarations should be submitted by the beginning of January next year.
Ratnayake said that the six candidates, who are yet to declare their assets, are not among the leading candidates contesting the presidential election next month.
