The Association of Medical Specialists (AMS) have called for an Island wide lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The Association has requested President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to seriously consider the need to lockdown the country for one week and to extend it for a second week considering the situation.
AMS has also urged the President to consider closing all airports and other entry points to the country for passengers limiting them only for cargo for a period of two weeks starting almost immediately.
