Asymptomatic Covid patients to be treated at home: Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle

15 May 2021

State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle stated today (15) that steps are underway to allow home treatment for asymptomatic Covid-19 patients. Accordingly, the State Minister said that this will begin to take place from Monday (17). She also mentioned that despite this, if patients begin to develop symptoms and complications while under home treatment, they will be transferred to the care of a hospital.  This move is expected to ease the congestion in hospitals across the country as daily Covid-19 caseloads are on the rise.
