Atapattu-led SL leave for T20 World Cup

Sri Lanka Women, under Chamari Atapattu, left last night to Antigua, West Indies, to participate in the ICC Women’s World T20.
The tournament will begin on 9 November with the participation of 10 countries.
Sri Lanka are pooled with England, the defending champions Windies, Bangladesh and South Africa, in Group ‘A’.
Group ‘A’ – West Indies, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh
Group ‘B’ – Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Ireland
Sri Lanka will play two warm-up games, against New Zealand and Ireland, on 4 and 7 November respectively. Both matches are scheduled to be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.
Sri Lanka will play their first match of the tournament against England on 10 November. Sri Lanka will be playing all their four Group matches at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St. Lucia.
