The Attorney General had authorized the proscription of eleven Islamic Organizations in connection with extremist activities, stated the AG's office today (07).
Accordingly, United Thawheed Jamma'ath, Ceylon Thawheed Jamma'ath, Sri Lanka Thawheed Jamma'ath, All Ceylon Thawheed Jamma'ath, Jamiyathul Ansaari Sunnaththul Mohomadiya, Dharul Adhar @ Jamiul Adhar, Sri Lanka Islamic Student Movement, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, Al-Qaeda, Save the Pearls organization and Super Muslim organization have been banned.
