Australia updates health guidelines for SL origin passengers

15 May 2021

The Australian High Commission in Colombo has issued an updated set of health guidelines for passengers traveling to Australia. Accordingly, as per these latest guidelines, passengers travelling on SriLankan Airlines flights to Australia are now required to provide a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to check-in for flights, in addition to a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. This requirement will come into effect from today (15) and evidence of a negative Covid-19 RAT taken 8 hours or less before check-in for scheduled departure must be produced to the airline. A notice issued by the airlines states that accepted RATs could be performed at Kings Hospital, Asiri Hospitals, and Nawaloka Hospital chains located in Colombo and Negombo.
