Former Governor of the Western Province Azath Salley has been arrested by the CID today on the advice of the Attorney General, the AG's Coordinating Officer said.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) launched an investigation into several remarks allegedly made by Salley with regard to the law of the country.
The Attorney General has advised the CID that credible information has been disclosed of offences committed by Salley under the Penal Code, PTA and the ICCPR Act by making the alleged speech on March 10.Azath Salley arrested
