A member of the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) has been arrested by the Wanduramba Police yesterday on charges of obstructing the duties of a CEB official and assaulting him, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said the suspect had assaulted the electricity superintendent and two others who were engaged in a project at Pahala Lelewala yesterday.
The suspect is to be produced before the Galle Magistrate today.
