The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a media release today (16) has categorically stated Bandu Samarasinghe will not be appointed as the Consul General in Milan.
Earlier this week, several media reports detailed that veteran actor Bandu Samarasinghe has been appointed as Sri Lanka’s Consular General in Milan, Italy.
After the passing away of musician Neela Wickremasinghe who served in this position earlier, Sri Lanka’s Consulate General position in Milan became vacant.
