Bangladesh ‘A’ series rescheduled

The torrential rains fell in Colombo over the last week has prompted Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to reschedule the current series between Sri Lanka and Bangladeshi ‘A’ teams, the SLC announced on Wednesday, 25 September. The Bangladesh ‘A’ cricket team arrived here on Wednesday, 18 September to play two four-day unofficial Tests and three ODIs. It was only on Tuesday that SLC called off the two teams’ first unofficial four-day Test at Katunayake after its second day too was washed off entirely even before the toss was made. Original Tour Schedule: 23 to 26 September: 1st four-day Test at MCG, Katunayake 30 September to 3 October: 2nd four-day Test at Galle Intl. Stadium 7 October: 1st ODI at MRICS, Hambantota 9 October: 2nd ODI at MRICS, Hambantota 12 October: 3rd ODI at RPICS, Colombo Revised Schedule of Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh ‘A’ Series * 28 September to 1 October: 1st four-day Test at MRICS, Hambantota * 4 to 7 October: 2nd four-day Test at MRICS, Hambantoa * 9 October: 1st ODI at MRICS, Hambantota * 10 October: 2nd ODI at MRICS, Hambantota * 3rd ODI (To be confirmed)
