Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa arrived at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy today (30) to offer prayers and receive blessings before the submission of the 2022 budget.
He spoke to the media upon exiting the temple.
"I have come here to receive the blessings of our Lord Buddha before the 2022 Budget is submitted. We will have to see the Budget outcome on the 12th of November. I want to ensure that the people of this nation are satisfied and receive fairly from this budget we have in plan," said the Minister.
Rajapaksa thereafter visited the Malwathu Asgiriya monastery in Kandy.
