The Chairman of the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) Major General (Rtd.) Shantha Dissanayake said yesterday (7) that the CAA has published an extraordinary gazette banning blending of edible coconut oil with any other oils.
This direction came into effect yesterday.
Accordingly, all importers, refiners, manufacturers, stockists, packers, distributors and traders of edible coconut oil sold in bulk or in retail amounts are barred from blending them with other oils.
